Run #146 "Slippery Hash", April 21st, 2002
I woke up this morning. It was rainingThis was only my second NH3 run. It looked like it would be my first one in the rain. My friend (Ladrone) was coming all the way from Saipan to do the hash with me, so I was a little disappointed I couldn't have nice weather for him. Then I remembered that when I did the Saipan Hash there was a typhoon, so I didn't feel so bad.
I left my house. It was raining.We met at Nagoya station with no problem, and caught a local JR train to Atsuta. We arrived first, and waited. Soon Groper arrived, then others: Shinkansen, Sexy Babe #1, Demon, Atsuko, John (Osama?), Oh Monkey and Piggy Style. We all talked about the weather.It was raining.Every one looked at Ladrone's luggage and wondered why he had so much stuff. They were surprised to hear that he came straight from the airport to the Hash. The hares told us that the course was short but difficult. Someone(not me) commented that this is just like Demon(short and difficult). Some people laughed. I can't remember if Demon laughed. A new unusual check point was explained to us, and it was time to go.We started running. It was raining.The course took many turns. Many, many turns. I ran with the slower group. After 15 minutes we were back near the station we started at.
Soon we were at a small park, where we had to go down the slide. Soon we were at another park with another slide, then another, and another. Apparently today's theme was slides. I lost count of how many we did, but it must have been 6 or 7. My butt got wet and covered in flour!It was raining.The course was a little hard to follow sometimes because the rain washed away a lot of the flour. But the rain also felt good. It wasn't a cold day, so it was a actually kind of refreshing. I began to enjoy the rain, and I started thinking that it was preferable to the heat of July and August. On On. It was raining.Sexy Babe #1 pointed to a building and said, "Groper and Cheap Liquor live in that apartment. I'm sure the run will end there.” Everyone agreed. Sensing that "Near beer” was near, I began to run a little faster. It was farther than I though to the end, but soon I saw John and Oh Monkey on the other side of the park enjoying a drink. There was just one more slide go down, then on home!I finished. It was raining.There were few down downs. I remember one for taking a short cut, one for missing a party (I drank, even though I didn't understand why). Two guys, Jim and Charlie II just happened to show up. We made them drink, and invited them to join the next hash. There was one for Ladrone as a visitor from Saipan. There were others, but I can't remember them all. The best part was that we were out of the rain. The worst part for me was that the beer wasn't cold. Thinking back, I should have made the person who supplied the beer do a down down for this failure. I'll remember that for next time.Time for the Hash Bash. It was raining.We went to Groper and Cheap Liquor's home for the hash bash. They have a really nice apartment on the 13th floor with a beautiful view. We drank more, enjoyed their nice cooking, and Sexy Babe #1, and Demon even took a shower(not together). Ladrone and I had to leave early, so I don't know how long the party lasted. I wish I could say that the weather cleared up and it was sunny when we left, but that would be a lie.We walked to the train station. It was raining.Is there really a sun? I can't remember what it looks like.I got home. I went to bed. It was raining.

４月２７日はまたまた雨だった。前回も雨、ということで雨の中のhashに慣れてきた今日この頃。熱田駅をおりると、hasherの姿の見えない内からなにやら騒がしい声が響いてくる。集まったのは10人、そのうち３人がnon-Japaneseなので国際色豊かなrunとなったわけだ。ヘアーはGroperとCheap Liquor。Groperは泥だらけのパンツでにやにや笑っている。なんだか意味ありげではある。Cheap Liquorは身重で身体の一部（曖昧な表現に留めております：自主規制）がとっても重そうだ。あのどちらかと言うと重そうなお体でコースをお造りになったのか、と思うとにこにこしているCheap Liquorが菩薩のように見えてくるのだ。
さて、あいかわらずの雨の中、スタートしていきなり階段だ！どうやら上がったり下がったりの多いrunとみた。なんせ雨だから。神宮の商店街を走り、いくつも公園の滑り台を滑る。５つは滑ったか？上がったり下がったり、というのはこのことだったのだ。そしてぐるぐる同じところを回っているような感じもあるといえばあったりするんだけど気のせいか？地下道を抜け、熱田神宮の脇を通り、さびれた商店街を抜け、公園に辿り着いた。ここがゴール、かと思うとちがうぞ！また団地に入る。Groperと Cheap Liquorの住まいはここだ！そこがゴール？と思ったらなんと Cheap Liquorがお住いのベランダから顔を出してござる。「ゴールはここじゃないよおおおお」とのありがたいお言葉を天からいただき、がっくりきたのもつかの間、巨大な滑り台。
そこをSexy Babe No.1がのぼっていると、なにやら興味ぶかげにこちらを伺う２人の外国人。さっそくSexy Babe No.1がリクルート。「ビールがあるでえ」の言葉につられて２人はすぐそこのゴールまでやってきた。だがゴールにはまたまた滑り台！しかも下は水たまり。すべってドボン！下着までぬれてしまったぞ〜〜。
Down downも雨の中、さっさと始めよう、ってことで(つーか私Demonが最終グループだったってこと)、ショートカット、有名人（１１年前テレビに出たOh Monkey、雑誌に載るはずのGroperとCheap Liquor）ビジター（サイパンから来たLadrone：スペイン語で泥棒です）、あとなんだっけ？？ああわすれちゃったよう〜。おおそうだ、途中でリクルートしたのがアメリカンのチャーリーとジェームス（だったと思うんだが・・・）げたげた笑いのチャーリーさん、ビール大好きでhash songsをさっそく覚えて大声で歌ってくれました。hash songのラップバージョンまで御披露くださいました。VoiceというクラブでDJをやっておられるそうな。次回は参加してくれるといいですね。
そしてhash bashは GroperとCheap Liquorのおうち！お２人の手料理で、いろいろうめえものを食わしていただきました。ありがと〜！
てなことで、コースの感想：ぐるぐる回って、滑って、どぼん。
