Run #180 "Halloween Hash", October 28th, 2003
Everyone arrived at Higashiyama Koen sometime between 2-3. There were many hAshers there that we hadn’t seen in a long freakin’ time (like Demon and the Ina crew!) We tried to figure out what each other were wearing—some of the most creative costumes were Nick (I think he was suPPosed to be a Japanese Mafia man) and H Eater the freaky Japanese pervert with a manga in his pocket. Then…there was Shinkansen….I think everyone in HigashiYama Koen is still trying to figure out what he was!! Nice pumpkin though! There were some really cute costumes…like a bunny, and Spooky who sported a Batman suit. Sexy babe came as a construction worker, and Monkey Manko came as well…a monkey. Chikabitch was a combination cowboy and horse. Demon was an obachan, Peach fuzz came late as a Buddha. And…there were a lot of Hanshin Tigers fans! Denki Dick and Fast breather came matching as usual in their Samurai Hash Happi coats. All in all, I think we were a pretty scary crew! After meeting our new-comers, one from the Ina crew and two sent to us from Mother Duck, we started running through Nagoya in our crazy costumes.
The first part of the course was all terrain! We ran up hills and through the woods. I think we lost a few hashers in the park since we lost trAck of them behind us (or maybe they slipped off to do a Little Trick-or-Treating if you know what I mean). There were aLso about a million stairs!!! But it was okay—we survived! To compensate for all of the stairs we decided to take the short course and finished pretty early. H Eater managed to find Smell Pussy’s brown hat and anOther one to add to her brown hat collection. She didn’t quite like the second one though. When H Eater, myself and my friend Tsubasa got to the finish area NOBODY WAS THERE!!!! Smelly and Monkey Manko claim they had to go help a hasher, but We know better than that!!!! We were soon joined by Groper and Taisuke, and then finally Smelly and Monkey Manko with the BEER!!! DEnki Dick was the first finisher from the long course (he’s awesome!) The other hashers soon arrived along with a long time no see appEarance from Terd Chaser!! I drank a few beers then I had to make a hasty retreat back to Nishio for a Halloween Party! But…I got an update of the down downs from Spooky. Apparently Cheap Liquor stole a bike on the trail. Maybe that’s how she got cheap in her name. Peach Fuzz, Cheap Liquor and her friend, Crack Whore, Jacks Foreskin and her two friends, Demon and Spooky ate cheesecake on the course!!! Chin Chin ParaParagus also brought her parents along to the Hash Bash. I bet she had fun explaining her name to them!! After all of the down dowNs, the entire crew headed to Bumphrey’s for some more beer and sports action. Thanks a lot Smelly Pussy and Monkey Manko it was one “hell” of a hash!

やってきました Halloween Run！！コスチュームと言えばＣＬ、ＣＬと言えばコスチューム！ここはヒトツ過去の実績（知らない人はWEBで確認するように。でも変装してるからわからないか）からも手は抜けないなー、などと張り切ってはいたものの、ママとなった昨今、坊主のオシメは替えても自分の着替えまではなかなか．．．。仕方なく時事ネタで行こう！と、最近ウワサの『ファッションセンターしまむら』で赤い割烹着を８９０円にて入手、段ボールで切り抜いた包丁を特製ルイ・ヴィトンの紙袋に忍ばせて集合場所へと向かった。
秋晴れの休日、東山公園を行き交う幸せそうな家族連れの中 『げげっ！動物園から脱走したサルが魔女に調教されてる！』と思ったら、本日のHare Monkey Manko と Smelly Pussyであった。『１８年振りの優勝に燃える阪神ファン』の扮装（？）やら、アフロの土方や、女子高生、ヤンキー中坊、SAASのドラエモン、Pink Haired Doctor、田舎者withみかん、怪しい女装オヤジ、大仏、ピエロ、バットマン、オタク、などなど。おお、４〜５人もいるバージンの方々もなかなか気合いが入っているぞ。そうして集まりに集まったHasherたちは、周囲の視線もなんのその、しっかり記念写真をとり、抜けるような空の下、元気に走り出したのであった。
当初、コースは東山通りを東へ進んで行き、平和公園口にさしかかる頃、紅葉美しい山道へと入っていった。『今日のコースはLongとShortがあります』とのHareの言葉に、arrowを捜すが、山道の一本道がずっと続くばかり。ようやく山道を抜け、舗装道路と墓石群が見えた頃、二人組の男性が立っているのが見えた。制服モノの仮装か？と思いきや、なんと彼らは本物の警察官。犯人逮捕から間もない事件がらみの変装をしたＣＬは一瞬身が縮まったが、私たちへは一瞥をくれただけで特に反応なし。後から判明したのだが、先頭の方にいたSINKANSENは職務質問を受けたそうだ。私たちはその一団だと理解された上でのNO-CHECKだった様子。そうだよね、こんなにヘンなんだもの、何事もないわけないよね。なんだかんだと話しながら進んでいると、小麦粉は石段を段々と登っていった。着いた先は平和公園の中心地・納骨堂。普段から存在は知ってはいたもの、間近にしたのは初めてで、しばし見入る。お堂の周りに配された彫刻の堂々たる様などを見るが、なんといっても素晴らしかったのは、その小高い場所からの眺め。高く澄んだ空に名古屋中の町並みがきれいに映えて絶景かな絶景かな。さわやかな秋を満喫した一同であった。
そこでコースはようやくShortとLongへと分かれて、私たちは迷わずshortへ。粉をたどっていくうちに、なんとトレイルは元の地点・東山通りへと戻った。そのまま大通りを人目も気にせず本山方面へ進む。途中、99円コンビニやケーキ屋で買い食いを挟みつつ、末盛交差点の手前でようやく見つけたNearBearの文字。わーい,Beerだ！
ゴールとなった城山公園には、すでに沢山の変質者いえ、変装者がデキ上がっていた。途中でChinParaが、日本に来ていたご両親を伴い合流。彼らも巻き込んでのDownDownはいつものように盛り上がり、積み上がる空き缶は、秋の夕暮れを惜しむかのごとくであった。（意味不明）
そうそう、今回は少し深刻なハプニングが！なんと、DownDownの途中、
HashCashがなーい！！！
という悲痛な叫びが上がった！しかし、すぐに交番に届けられていることが判明。
SexyBabeが土方スタイルのまま引き取りに行くと、絶対怪しいはずなのにあっさり渡してもらえたそうな。聞けば『サルとかの格好をした人たちが置き忘れていった』と高校生がケータイの写真と共に届けてくれ、『あなたで間違いないでしょう』との事だったとか。
ほら、やっぱりコスチュームっていいでしょう？
こんな素敵な一日を用意してくれたhareのお二人、お疲れさまでした。ありがとう。
