Run #190 "Piggy Hash", April 18th, 2004

In the morning it was very fine, but I had a little headache. I had a little hangover. The night before, I went to a wedding party of my old friend and drank much beer. I stayed at my parent’s home in Tokyo. I had to go back to Nagoya by 2:00PM, because I’ve heard we had a special run today. I left my home at almost ten o’clock. My mother asked me why I went back to Nagoya so early, but I didn’t tell her the reason. In Shinkansen I didn’t feel good, and I slept more than one hour.

I arrived at Kanayama station almost two o’clock, and there were some hashers at south exit. All of them have dolls of pig and others look like pig, and I knew the special run is the run for my wedding.

Groper told us how the today’s course was. In his explanation, there will be many happy places on it. At first we had to get on JR to Nagoya station and even in the train, some of hashers have piggy noses. From front of Big Camera we started at almost three o’clock. Some hashers got Coolishes by free, the new ice creams that were sold from this year, and they were cold and good taste. At first we run southern site of Nagoya station, almost fifteen minutes later we saw Takasagoden near Nagoya station, the first happy place of today’s course. We crossed under the railroads and went to Northern site of Nagoya station. Soon we see the participants of a wedding ceremony from Yubin Chokin kaikan, the second happy place of today. Less than ten minutes later there is Marriyell, the third happy place. We run towards east. On the way, there was a ceramic pig of cock in front of small restaurant.

When I recognized at the east site of Nagoya station, I ran with only Monkey Manko. Soon I saw Izumoden, the fourth happy place on the course. I told Monkey Manko about the Japanese Gods’ tales and Izumo. We saw a Christian picture on the wall of Izumoden. It was strange for us to see Jesus on the building named for Japanese Gods. We ran towards Nayabashi. I saw stranger name on the course. That is a wedding ceremony hall and named St. Glorious Church. In English there is a Saint’s name after St., but Glorious isn’t a name of person. It’s an adjective. At first Monkey Manko noticed the name of the building was strange. He said they didn’t have such a strange name church like that. Though that is strange, it is the fifth happy place of today.

After that Monkey Manko and I went through Ohsu and towards Kamimaezu. We saw some buildings around Kanayama station, and we knew the goal should be a park near Kanayama station. We run towards there and saw another wedding ceremony hall, Takasagoden (it’s different from the one near Nagoya station). It was the sixth happy place on the course. Almost ten minutes later we saw the sign ‘NEAR BEER.’ Monkey Manko rushed to the goal, and soon I reached the goal. The goal was the park near the Nagoya citizen hall at Kanayama. At the goal Chikubitchi and Silent Knight have already arrived. After I drank a can of beer, I called my wife, and asked her to come the goal and to see hashers. All today’s hashers reached not so long later. We made up our mind to do ‘down down’ after Hash Master, Demon, and my wife would come. Close to our place, a loving couple kissed, and we check what kind of lovers they are. We didn’t know why they were kissing though there were many people at the park and they were watched.

At down down time I drank much beer, and of course, I did also with my shoe, because it was special run for Piggy’s celebration. At last we named two female hashers. One of them was named “bite me,” because she often says ‘bite me,’ when she “does”. And the other was named “Hanadensha,” because she works for Nihon Sharyo, which makes trains.

I enjoyed the special run for Piggy’s wedding celebration. Thanks for all of Nagoya Hashers.

 Piggy Style

Following message is written in Japanese.

Piggy Run“
HareはGroper & Cheap Liquor & TAISUKE。

ゆきえさんは、”HANADENSHA(花電車)”。
