Run #191 "Joint Hash with Kansai", May 16th, 2004
The Nabari joint hash between Kansai Hash and the Nagoya hash proved to be a damp affair. Five participants form each hash made the journey for Alkanida birthday run, plus special guest star Chilly Willie via Australia on his mammoth boat journey around the world. Despite the rain the hash started off with some hills,( no mountains) looming in the back ground. What surprises did the hares Urinater and AlKanida have planned! The rain did let up a bit and turned into a mist which gave the run a mystical atmosphere, but the strange alien markings of the Kansai hash confused this monkey, who threw away his defective chalk, which wasn't built for the wet conditions. The pack was nearly always travelling together, and met up in a wooded area. Despite the "abunai" signs MM went across the wild river over the bridge which felt like it was moving, only to find an "F". Rejoining the pack we found a strange moon type sign which means in Kansai Hash "code" the time to bear your arse to the world, which approximately half of the hashers did (but that is a secret who took part and luckily there were no cameras present). At this point I was suffering on only two hours sleep the night before, and the pack slipped away from me. Have a habit of not wearing my glasses while running, I lost touch with everybody from the group, so I hope it was a nice run, as from now on, I was on my own fantasy trail with many Fs and false sightings of hashers, which turned out to be sign posts when I got close enough. I am not sure how long the group had been finished by the time I reached the down down area. But the weather had got considerably worse and the hashers had made a circle around a courting couple under a shelter. It was one of the quickest and most restrained down downs I have witnessed but it does seem things maybe a bit stricter in Auzzie hashes as Chilly Willie was a bit of a stickler for the formal rules.
We then headed off to the the hash bash as the rain got worse. The food kept coming and coming and every one was full. So despite the weather a good time was had by all, and happy birthday Alkanida. Then it was just a hike (hash part 2) back to the station for the 2 hour train journey home.

6月16日 この日はAlkanidaの誕生日ということで、名張でJoint Hashが行われました。悪天候にもかかわらず10人ほどが集まり、スタートしました。
コースは田舎道で、きれいな景色を楽しむことができ、感謝しています。
コースを作ってくれた方々ありがとうございました。そしてお疲れ様でした。
今回も色々な人と知り合え、交流ができて嬉しかったです。楽しませて頂き、ありがとうございました。
