Run #211, April 3rd, 2005
I arrived at Fujigaoka dead on 2pm, but could not find any other hashers, and my heart sank, after not coming to the hash in February and March I had come to the wrong station. A quick phone call to "Smelly Pussy" however confirmed Fujigaoka was correct and after several circuits of the station I found "Piggy Style".
The number of hashers grew over the next half hour, into the largest group of hashers I have seen in a long time. The nice weather had brought them out of winter retirement. The run had a bit of an Expo theme, since we were last at Fujigaoka for the Halloween hash the new magnetic train had opened, the "Linimo". We were all presented with a "Morizo" and "Kiccoro" headband from "Kiss". I was very pleased with my Expo gift, and only later found out that they were hand made by "Kiss" herself, thank you very much. While I did not feel the magic of the Expo head bands myself, many hashers reported being bowed to especially by children who mistook us for Expo volunteers! (as if!)
After putting our bags away we were off, on what we had been told was a short(ish) course, which in coded language to me means a fast run. Although the nice weather had brought the hashers out, it had been a late Spring this year, and the Hanami had not come into full bloom. However "Flasher" and "Kiss" had done the best that they could of and marked "look" on the course when ever there was a hint of cherry blossom, and had told us to take time and enjoy the course.
The best thing about this course, along with the run along the river was the checks. Pretty sure there was only three of them (did I miss any?) and when I went wrong on the first one, it was the shortest "F" I have ever found so thanks guys. True to their word it was a short course and 45 minutes later after see the "Near Beer" sign we finished in the same park as the Halloween hash. This was the hottest run for quite a while, so the cold drinks were really appreciated. One of the first runners to finish was "Sea Cucumber" which was very impressive as she was not even at the start and was a late comer (something she would suffer for later on during the down downs). All the hashers arrived at their own pace and relaxed and enjoyed the sunny day.
I can not remember the names of all the different down downs (I think I got away with just two, and then drank sakura chu-hi) but "Sea Cucumber" seemed to drink for every down down, which in turn created another down down, for everyone who had drunk on every down down! (does that make sense?).
Then for a hash first (well at least for me) instead of heading off to an izakaya, we would have a hash bash picnic under the trees. Everyone stayed and there was all manner of snacks, and some of the hot food was home-made, and delivered by "Kiss". Just after our feast while packing away it started to rain, we had been very lucky with the weather. After the Halloween hash I had caught a bus back into the centre of Nagoya. However this time we were in for a treat as the "Linimo" has now opened. So we all rode the Linimo back to Fujigaoka in style with the crowds who had been at the Expo today. 今日は朝から少し雨がぱらつき天気が心配されたが、何とか持ち直してHash日和。しかし、2週連続Hash、今日から夏時間ということもあり藤が丘駅に着いた時はHasherもPiggy Styleのみ。藤が丘さくら祭りが開催しておりイベントのライブを見ながら日本ののどかさを堪能。
今回のHashは、Hare：Flasher、Kiss夫婦。花見Hash＆藤が丘は万博リニモの始発駅ということで万博関連グッズを身に付けて走ることに。当然Hasherは万博関連グッズを忘れることを見込みKissがピッコロ(編集注;モリコロですってば^o^)柄の入った布を縫いリボンを作り持参。なんと準備の良いこと。なんやかんやして定刻運行率の悪いHash通りで3：00頃にスタート。
花見Hashなのに桜はつぼみのままで、悲しいかなHasherは桜満開をイメージして走り始めた。Groperはたいすけ君を抱いて走るのを見て完走できるか不安に思いつつ追い抜いていった。しばらく走るとかばんを持って前を走っているHasherを発見。Sea Cucumberである。彼女はなんと朝は小牧オリエンテーリング、その後名城線ぐるり一周体験ツアーに参加してから駆けつけてくれたらしい。（なにも名城線ぐるり一周体験ツアーに参加しなければ間にあったはずなのに。残念）しかし、疑問あり。なぜ遅れてきたのに僕らの前を走っているのか？Sea Cucumber曰く粉を辿っていったら先頭に立っていたということらしい。コースは随所に工夫を凝らしており、また裏テーマは落ち武者を辿るということもあり色々な史跡を織り交ぜた感じでゴールの長久手古戦場跡に到着。
DDはHare(Flasher、kiss)、long time no see(Doraemon’s Pocket、Bushi Rider、Monkey Monko、H-eater、Orgasm Phone)、new shoes（Monkey Monko、Orgasm Phone）、short cut、等とビールがなくなるまで続けられた。 Hash BashはKissの見事な手料理を堪能しつつ花見を敢行。なにはともあれ今回も楽しいHashであった。
